What is it?
Quill lets you connect to self-hosted or external AI provider services such as Ollama or OpenAI (and many more). It's merely an interface to interact with AIs - a darn good one, we hope!
Quill focuses on increasing joy and productivity by providing a streamlined interface for AI power users. Switch LLMs as you desire (even during conversations), control advanced parameters such as temperature or response formats, set up your custom presets and system prompts, and much more.
Privacy
By default, all data is saved on your device rather than somewhere on the internet at a third party. No need to worry about someone using your banking transactions for AI training, or a QA person reading your private thoughts you meant to deliberately share with a machine rather than a human.
Be advised, though, that if you use an external AI provider, we still need to send your conversations to them. Some of them openly admit they use your data for training purposes. If possible, however, we try to instruct them to not store your conversations.

Quill has been built with self-hosting the AI models in mind. By doing so, you can make sure your data never leaves your computer.
